This is me talking with my hands. I've been talking with my hands. And making things with them in advertising for a number of amazing brands. Ford. Coors. Porsche. Glenfiddich. The Balvenie. Bentley. Nature Valley. And Coca-Cola.
My skill set is quite unique in that I have spent equal parts of my career in above the line(@JWT), experiential marketing(@Momentum) and shopper marketing(@Integer/TBWA). I love doing it all. Or, leading multi-agency teams where my cross-disciplinary skills give me an empathetic view point.
If I was not creating ads, I would be a carpenter. I love seeing the product of one's labor at the end of the day. And in advertising, most days you get to see something you made come to life. This is a picture of the post-and-beam barn I built. Note - barn plans you see online are MUCH bigger in real life. This was a 6 month project that provided tons of time working alone. And with friends. Just like work.
And If I was not a carpenter, I would be a an automotive restoration craftsmen. This is an image of the 1963 Triumph Spitfire that I restored and race. I do it all. Pit crew. Driver. Bodywork. Engine tuning. Catering. Transportation.
I love cars. And use them to hone my writing as well with freelance work for magazines like Octane, Grassroots Motorsports and 911 & Porsche World.
