The Balvenie is the most handcrafted Scotch Whisky. And they support others who do things as we like to say, 'the old way, the right way'.
This extended to shining a light and supporting practitioners of rare hand crafts in the US.
In conjunction with The Craft Council of America The Balvenie committed to raising a dram in support of craftsmanship in all its forms.
The search for craftspeople and celebratory parties and whisky tastings where their work was celebrated had to be portable and brought across the USA.
The brand ambassadors were featured in a short documentary about how they drove in a handcrafted car, a Morgan, to meet with each potential craftsperson. Each craftsperson then had a short vignette made about them.
The event space was set up as a gallery, because its main focus truly was to highlight exquisite craftsmanship from around the country.
The space also featured a full schedule of tastings of The Balvenie so guests could a sample of what The Balvenie handcrafts in Dufftown, Scotland.
Each year, now in its third year, a single craftsperson is selected as the most outstanding.
And celebrated in our ads. And more importantly, feted with a month long sting learning about craftsmanship at the Distillery in Scotland.
